Monday 3-16 Add Text to 3D images
Gimp Adding Text: Adding Text (View Video on adding text)
- Open an image in GIMP
- Select the “A” on your toolbar. This is the text tool. Then click on your image.
- The Editor Dialogue Box will open. You will be able to type into the center of the 4square text object just below the dialogue box. We will call this the text box
- Type your text, try changing the Font, Text size, and color.
- Move your Text Box to where you want it to show up on your image, if you have not already done so. To move the text, select the 4 arrow array from your toolbox, then click on the text. You now should be able to move your text.
- Close out your Dialog Box by selecting Close
- Now Merge the layers together. The text is on its own layer and that layer needs to be merged with the photo image. Go to the “Image” pull down and select “Merge Visible Layers”. When you do this a dialog box will open. Click “Merge Layers”.
- Export your image and place it on your Blogger page.
- Repeat this process on both of the 3D images you did last week.
